& Other Stories: beautiful bags

Found here.

I have to admit I am quite impressed by the selection of really beautiful and well designed bags from & Other Stories. Occasionally I think to myself that I should really invest in a classic looking, wellmade leather bag that hopefully would last me at least 10 or so years, but then I can never seem to get around to making that commitment I feel that it is because of the cost. It’s not too late though ...

Etsy finds: vintage enamel jewellery

Found here.

Spring has definitely lost it’s way here, but I refuse to give up hope that it will some day come around and let us all come out of our long winter misery. Until that day is here one way to cope is to dream about spring and summer outfits, that would all look even lovelier in my mind with some vintage enamel jewellery such as these Etsy finds.

Danish design: Jackpot

Found here.

I have recently found a few really nice items in stores from Danish brand Jackpot, and decided to give it a closer look. It seems their online shop don’t carry everything, or the store I have been to carries old things that are sold out online. Either way, there are some definite gems there I would love for spring and summer.

beautiful books from Alma Classics

I love these beautiful books covers to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s books, published by Alma Classics. I have always had a special place in my heart for the roaring 1920’s, and these pictures have a lot of clues as to why that is. At the same time I am grateful I wasn’t around back then, since this glamour surely was only meant for a precious few select people.

& Other Stories: simple and stylish dresses

Found here.

H&M’s new brand & Other Stories open their first store in Stockholm in the coming weeks, but has already opened a few stores around Europe so far. It’s not completely my cup of tea, just as their other side brand COS, but I still do appreciate their designs and styles. By the online look of it, there are however a few more items like these dresses from & Other Stories that would fit very well in my wardrobe.

Iittala’s new sheer greens just in time for spring

My husband gave me this beautiful Iittala bowl from the Sarjaton series a while ago, and it has become my favorite kitchen item. The shape is perfect and I love the 50’s look of the design with sheer greens and a hint of aqua blue. As usual that inspires me to get all new things to match this one bowl, and was happy to see two new sheer greens in both the Kartio and Teema series. Maybe I need to get myself some alternative Easter treats, since I usually don’t indulge in the candy frenzy ...

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Beautiful books from Folio Society

I really like the classic look of the book series by Patrick O’Brian published by The Folio Society and illustrated by Neil Gower. Dark blue and gold might be boring at times, but used like this I like it a lot.
