Kiyoshi Saitō’s amazing art

I am sorry for an extremely picture heavy post, but I just fell madly in love with a for me new artist and I can’t get enough of his work right now! Kiyoshi Saitō, 1907–1997, was a Japanese print making artist, whose later work merged traditional Japanese motifs with more modern elements. I want an entire wall with his cat prints, can someone please give that to me? I shall ask for nothing more after that.

All pictures belong to Kiyoshi Saitō.

Jim Tierney’s beautiful book covers

I really love these illustrated book cover designs by American graphic designer and illustrator Jim Tierney, both published and unpublished. I happen to have written about his equally talented wife before, Sara Wood. I would be very interested to see their home, that I imagine is just as beautiful as their work, and I am looking for interior inspiration absolutely everywhere at the moment.

All artwork belong to Jim Tierney.

Pascal Pinon are awesome!

I have a huge crush on the Icelandic duo Pascal Pinon and have listened to their latest album Twosomeness a million times lately. Most of all I adore the song Fernando, that is by far one of the most beautiful love songs I have ever heard. And I have heard quite a few. I listen to it on repeat pretty regularly, it immediately sets me in a good mood and de-stresses me in a heartbeat, something that it much needed these days. At least until the weekend gets here, which is in a few hours ...

Enjoy your weekends everyone!

Particularly Pretty Penguin Classics Covers

It’s been far too long since I did a post on particularly pretty Penguin Classics covers, so here’s a bunch of beautiful redesigned ones for John le Carré. Enjoy!
