Imogen Heath’s pretty patterns

Imogen Heath is a very talented British surface pattern and textile designer I just discovered via this Design*Sponge blogpost. I love her use of bright colours that still feel quite subtle, like they would just nicely complement a room rather than take over. But as always I can also easily picture myself wearing dresses and skirts in these beautiful fabrics too. If I only knew how to sew clothes ...

Poketo shop wish list

Found here.

Found a really nice store via this blogpost on The Fox is Black, and fell in love with a whole bunch of stuff. I mean who can possibly resist biking bears to begin with? Not me, that’s for sure.

Lena Dunham’s Girls

With no time to make a real blog post I thought I would just throw something up here real quick, and one of the things that has made me the happiest lately has been watching the first season of Girls. I find it refreshing in so many ways and on so many different levels, and I am so impressed by Lena Dunham who writes and directs and acts like nobody’s business. And it’s hilarious! Watch it now.

Beards again

There are some new beard pics over on the Tearoom Books blog, if you care to check them out. In Stockholm the rain has been pouring down since last night, and I am somewhat glad it’s not my first day of vacation, which is the case for many Swedes today. I bet a lot of people are swearing at the weather. That said, I do feel a screaming need for a vacation, things have been a bit too hectic lately. From next week it will probably start slowing down though, fingers crossed!

Etsy’s definition of summer

Found here.

I searched for “summer” at Etsy, and these are a few of the lovely things that came up, very summery indeed. Today is Midsummer in Sweden, a day most people think should be our official National Day, not June 6th, which it is now. I don’t really care about that, I care that is a holiday and I get to spend it with friends and family, having good food and tasty cold wine in the sun (or rain). So without further ado: Happy Midsummer everyone!

Stranger & Stranger’s designed alcohol

Stranger & Stranger is a design studio specialising in packaging and branding, particularly alcoholic beverages. They have won numerous awards for their designs, which is not hard to understand. Looking through their portfolio, which is only a small account of their work, almost makes me exhausted because everything is insanely beautiful and detailed. I take a bow.

Haunted House from Lego

Not exactly my usual kind of post, but I just cannot resist this awesomeness from Lego! They are releasing a Haunted House in September, and I just simply want one of my own. I love doll houses and I love monsters of all kinds and I love lego, so why can’t I just get one and pretend it’s for my niece to play with when she comes round? Possibly the daunting price tag on it, but it is super big and detailed so can you blame them? I will stop now and let you take a look for yourselves how rad it is.
