Tiny Masters is a lovely little jewellery shop in our neighbourhood in Stockholm, described in their own words: “A place for small jewelry of great importance.” They represent seven talented designers in the shop, and I would just love most of these things. The above silver necklace is designed by Titti Bjernér, and the idea of the two hands forming a heart is that like a friendship heart is can be worn together or separate. Very nice.

Swedish photographer and artist Helena Blomqvist is really something else, wouldn’t you agree after just a quick glance at these pictures? Truly breathtaking if you ask me. Lucky for me staying in Stockholm there’s an exhibition opening this weekend at the Photographic Museum, and I will be sure to visit it and get sucked into these fantastic pieces of art. I suggest you do the same, should you have your way around this part of the world. The name of the exhibition says it all: Stories from another world. I want to see all those stories as soon as possible.

Karin Broos, extraordinary painter

When I was younger (i.e. a teenager) I couldn’t really understand the point of photo realistic art, when there were photos. In fact I didn’t much care for any kind of realism in art, film or literature. During my early teens I pretty much thought Salvador Dalí was the only artist worth looking at. Today I can still appreciate surrealism, but mostly in literature, and when it comes to art I am so much more drawn to realism now. I guess as a teenager you see the world as a surreal place, where most things don’t make any sense, at least I did. And now as a grown-up you know that reality is both a reassuring and scary place, where both comfort and darkness can hide in the same spot, just underneath the surface of a seemingly perfect place.

When I saw the amazing paintings of Swedish artist Karin Broos, I immediately fell in love with them. Apart from being masterfully done, I am mesmerized by the feeling of belonging and utter solitude that I think her work depicts, the very duality that constitutes life. There is a show with her work at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum until November 2oth here in Stockholm, I need to go there NOW.

superb sunny sunday

The weather has been lovely all weekend, and today I went for a long walk to get the most of it. On days like these I just love my hometown so much, and autumn is definitely my favorite season of them all. Prepare yourselves for a romantic nature overload, and the most beautiful bursts of colour!































I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekends. As usual I feel it’s been too short and I didn’t do half the things I planned to, but that walk sure was worth the most and it made all my stress just melt in the sunshine. I hope we can get a few more weeks of this now!

tip tops that pop

I’ve expanded my wardrobe with some nice thrifted summer tops lately, which seems wise since we’re spoilt with an ongoing heatwave at the moment. Again. It’s rather lovely, I must say, and not too hot as well. Just the right temperature for my liking. Although that doesn’t mean I’m spending more time outside, which I guess I should really. Anyhow, this cutie above I found at Humana. It was a little bit pricier than what I’d normally pay for a thrift store top, but it is really in mint condition and by some Italian designer I’ve never heard of. And compared to a new top anywhere else I guess 120 kronor isn’t really too bad.



It’s completely sheer so it needs a black vest underneath, and I love it lots for its dots and little clusters of colourful flowers!



At Myrorna (The Salvation Army) I found this H&M tunic in pretty summer colours and print for 85 kronor. It looks a bit square here (and obviously very creased!), but it’s got a belt that wraps in the back and makes it fit very nicely.



Being a buttonoholic of sorts, I love the tiny raspberry red candylike ones this tunic have.



Another H&M top that I found for 40 kronor at Emmaus, a charity shop here in Stockholm. Fits me like a glove and the belt is long enough to make a very nice big bow in the back, or in the front I guess, if one should be inclined to do so.



At Emmaus I also found this adorable top from H&M for 40 kronor. I was very happy with these scores when I just popped in for a quick look during my lunch break last week!



The Peter Pan collar and more candylike raspberry red buttons make this one a definite new favorite in the closet, especially paired with a black pencil skirt.
