It’s been way too long since I did an admiring post about Penguin Classics, so here’s a really picture heavy one to make up for it! Penguin is launching a new series of classics called Penguin English Library, and they have once again – and rightly so – trusted the wildly talented Coralie Bickford-Smith to do the design of the covers. To say I love the end result would be the understatement of the year, so I won’t. There’s too much left of the year for that. And yet again I want to make a wallpaper with Penguin Classics covers, why are they not hearing my wish for that? Well I guess it’s good to have something left to wish for ...

Coralie Bickford-Smith does it again! Particularly Pretty Penguins pt. 100?

I cannot help myself, so here’s another spectacular selection of dreamy dresses available right now from the fantastic Etsy vintage store Firefly Vintage. They run a bit pricey, but every single piece looks as if brand new and in mint condition, so I do believe it’s worth the investment. But what to choose, what to choose ...

spring greens coming my way
![]() |
Found here. |
Managed to go outside for a little bit today, if only just to cross the street to the pharmacy and the grocery store, and through my slight “coming-out-of-a-fever” dizziness I could still appreciate the spring warmth out there. Oh my, could it be that it’s finally here to stay? I also noticed that the huge willow tree outside our house had gotten quite big green buds since I saw it last a few days ago. Very pleasing to see the colours returning, so here are some more green lovely things for inspiration.

floral interlude
I have been down with a cold and fever since Friday, but am finally starting to slowly feel better again. It really sucks to have a whole weekend wasted like that, didn’t do anything except sleep and watch bad tv and drink lots and lots of honeyed tea. I don’t even know if spring is getting closer outside, since I haven’t been out for a few days now. But at least the sun is out today and I’ve got some spring inside with these pretty tulips!

Helena Blomqvist’s amazing art
![]() |

Swedish photographer and artist Helena Blomqvist is really something else, wouldn’t you agree after just a quick glance at these pictures? Truly breathtaking if you ask me. Lucky for me staying in Stockholm there’s an exhibition opening this weekend at the Photographic Museum, and I will be sure to visit it and get sucked into these fantastic pieces of art. I suggest you do the same, should you have your way around this part of the world. The name of the exhibition says it all: Stories from another world. I want to see all those stories as soon as possible.

magical morning
This morning I woke up to this environment. Even though I would be happier without frost in April, it was pretty magical. And so very, very quiet.
