Beautiful book covers by Anne Crone/Siulen Design.

I love these deceivingly simple cover designs made by graphic artist Anna Crone/Siulen Design for Vintage Books. They really go to show that two colours can go a long way in design.

Jason Booher’s beautiful book covers

Jason Booher is a seriously talented graphic designer, whose work I admire quite a bit. He designs book covers at Alfred A. Knopf, teaches at Parsons School for Design, and works with his wife, Helen Yentus, as Yentus & Booher.

Jim Tierney’s beautiful book covers

I really love these illustrated book cover designs by American graphic designer and illustrator Jim Tierney, both published and unpublished. I happen to have written about his equally talented wife before, Sara Wood. I would be very interested to see their home, that I imagine is just as beautiful as their work, and I am looking for interior inspiration absolutely everywhere at the moment.

All artwork belong to Jim Tierney.

Particularly Pretty Penguin Classics Covers

It’s been far too long since I did a post on particularly pretty Penguin Classics covers, so here’s a bunch of beautiful redesigned ones for John le Carré. Enjoy!

beautiful books by Emily Mahon

Found some beautifully redesigned classics, for once not published by Penguin, but Random House’s series Modern Library. The design is made by Emily Mahon, and each cover is made by a different artist and more will follow. Can’t wait to see the rest.

beautiful books from Alma Classics

I love these beautiful books covers to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s books, published by Alma Classics. I have always had a special place in my heart for the roaring 1920’s, and these pictures have a lot of clues as to why that is. At the same time I am grateful I wasn’t around back then, since this glamour surely was only meant for a precious few select people.

Beautiful books from Folio Society

I really like the classic look of the book series by Patrick O’Brian published by The Folio Society and illustrated by Neil Gower. Dark blue and gold might be boring at times, but used like this I like it a lot.
