sugarhighs on the eyes

Recipe and source.

Lately I have started following some really nice food blogs, and have found that looking at beautiful pictures and reading recipes in it’s own strange way makes me not crave it so much. Sure, I want to try them out and taste most things, but in lack of doing so straight away I don’t go and buy something else instead. Especially when it comes to sugar, that I have never really had a big problem with, but am trying to stay away from during the weeks anyway at the moment. During weekends I allow myself the occasional sweet treat, and actually enjoy it much more. Here are some deliciousness I have pinned recently. Go to my Pinterest to see more goodies.

darling dresses from Jumperfabriken

Spegelblom dress.

Swedish vintage inspired brand Jumperfabriken has released some new dresses this season, and as usual they are quite wonderful. These first two dresses have a Stig Lindberg print design too, so it’s not only the style that is vintage, but also the material. Shame the Swedish summer is so short ...

fantastic french children’s clothes

Via this post on the pretty Finnish blog Time of the Aquarius I found French children’s clothing line TALC. I’m not much for designer clothes for kids really, but these pictures are rather fantastic I must say. They remind me both of Max in Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are and Vee Speers’ portraits from The Birthday Party. Very lovely indeed.

Brita Sweden rugs

Source.

Spring is here! I know it may go away again at any moment, but for now it’s truly here, and everyone’s going slightly crazy about it. For obvious reasons: the light is back, layers and layers of winter clothes can be left at home, the streets are clean of snow and sand, tiny flowers are starting to pop up and trees are starting to bud again. It all means we’ve survived another winter, quite simply. It also means I start wanting to wear lighter colours, and surrounding myself with them too. I am very much liking these plastic rugs from Brita Sweden, in fact I would like them both.

I also very much want this matching blanket, even though blanket season is pretty much over. Could be used for picnics too, right?

awesome art by Jennifer Davis

Source.

Found brilliant artist Jennifer Davis via the brilliant blog The Jealous Curator. I love the mix of cute and weird and the mix of saturated and bold colours. Very much my cup of favorite tea. She also has an Etsy shop where lots of goodies, both originals and prints, are sold.

fruits by Lotta Kühlhorn

Lotta Kühlhorn is one of the best and most well known graphic designers in Sweden since the 90’s, and I have always loved her work. She has amongst other things made a lot of memorable book covers, but is maybe best known for her prints and patterns. These are some of her more recent fruit patterns that I just adore. Some of them are available as products from Koloni, I need to decide which pieces will be moving in to our kitchen pretty soon.

Cabinet de Curiositiés by Zim and Zou

French artists Zim and Zou make fantastic art from paper and I love every little piece of it. The colours are just too pretty! I would like them to make dresses in these colours and with these details, that would be amazing. But of course, this cabinet of curiosités is just perfect the way it is too. Check it all out here.
