Michelle Chang’s fantastic jewellery

Found here.

Michelle Chang is a Los Angeles based jewellery designer, and I am simply in love with every single item in her Etsy shop. I want the whole range, thank you very much! But especially much I want – no NEED – a manta ray pendant necklace. I have been obsessed with mantas, or rays, since I was about 12, when I read The girl of the sea of Cortez by Peter Benchley. So there’s that.

Mark Powell’s awesome art

I am so in love with these gorgeous bird drawings by amazingly talented British artist Mark Powell. Oh, and they are all made with a Bic pen. And he also does these equally amazing portraits of mainly old people. On vintage envelopes. That’s all. I love it. All of it.

Andrew Holder’s beautiful bird prints

I really love these graphic bird prints by American artist Andrew Holder. They are available for purchase in his shop, and I would love them all on a wall in my dream home gallery I probably won’t ever own.

beautiful animal prints

I couldn’t help myself and just had to post a few more pictures from The Royal Horticultural Society, all available for purchase as prints, just as the ones I posted yesterday. How cute are those chameleons?! I just love their cool and awesome weirdness. One of the best animals for sure, if I had to make a favorite list of animals that is.

five fabulous friday finds

Found here.

I love marcasites, and I love vintage brooches, and I love animals: this is a post about that. Plain and simple. I chose my five favorites from Etsy, out of the usual abundance, and they would all fit my little collection very well. Even though I am only shopping imaginatively this year (still going quite well, if I may say so myself, and to my own surprise). First is a gorgeous bird from ContempoLulu.

Found here.

Second is a little lizard from Bohemian Trading.

Third is a delicate dragonfly from Lyonesse4gems.

Fourth is a beautiful butterfly from Sanibelsands.

Fifth is a pretty peacock from HollyPuppysAngels.

something teal

Here’s another little shopping inspirational post from the vaults of Etsy, this time in the theme of teal. Adorable swallow necklace from Oh, Deer Creations.

Cotton bag with bow from Tippy Thai.

Owl print with gold from Box 64 Studios. How beautiful is this?! Amazing, if you ask me.

Dress with ruffles from Cast Couture. Also available in other colours.

And finally a cute swallow brooch from Bunnys.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

French animal collection

I got some late wonderful christmas gifts when we came back from South Africa, I thought I would share some of them. These are a bunch of lovely looking French animals that are staying with me now.

I think some of them will have to move into some nice frames eventually, it would be wasteful to just let them live in a drawer. Aren’t they just adorable?
