David Lupton is an exceptionally talented illustrator whose work I have just fallen in love with. This is why: because I see a beautiful story in each and every one of his pieces, and they perfectly balance the familiar with the slightly haunting or disturbing that always lurks in the shadows of our lives. I find myself drawn to that a lot, it just makes more sense to me to show it both ways, if you get what I mean.
